Do you want to launch your podiatry career with our structured 2 year internship program in the beautiful Mackay and Whitsunday region?

Applications OPEN for 2024 & 2025 New Graduate, or immediate start for Early Career Podiatrist

What is a new graduate internship?

Our new graduate internship is a well structured new graduate position that progressively trains you to become confident and competent in all areas of podiatry practice. We like to think of it as the ideal transition from university to private practice, and all our new graduates who have completed our 2 year internships are now ALL still enjoying practicing podiatry (whether still with us or whether they have moved on to other workplaces.) The above video Gracie and Kate share their own personal experiences.

Why do we offer a new graduate internship?

Easy! 2 reasons…

  1. We know that transitioning from university to private practice is hard. Our clinical director Phil Marshman (QUT 2004 graduate) developed the internship in response to his own poor mentoring experience straight out of university. Now in it’s 10th year, our new graduate program has had many successful completions and all are still working in and enjoying their podiatry career.

  2. Recruitment is hard! It’s getting harder to find podiatrists and one way we’ve managed to stand out is by offering a specific 2 year course with limited intake every year or so.

Getting a job is easy, getting a good one is hard!

We are looking for someone who...

> Wants a supportive and structured start to their Podiatry career! We have a full new graduate 2 year internship program, including training and partnership with senior Podiatrists in clinic, to support you to have a confident and successful start to your career. Recent graduates (within 2 years of graduation) are welcome to apply too!

I had the opportunity to observe some interesting and complex cases, and I got a chance develop my clinical skills further. Phil and the team taught me a lot and were very welcoming and provided me with excellent learning opportunities. Besides the super interesting caseload, the team being really fun and enthusiastic about their work was also a big plus
